We decided to circumcise our boy just after he was born. But then he developed physiological jaundice due to....get this..breast milk. The jaundice lasted for almost 6 weeks & he had to undergo a lot of painful pricking & blood testing ( my lil boy was so brave ). So, after much consideration, we did the procedure at 9 weeks & 4 days of his age, under local anesthesia. He had to do this when he was a bit bigger but then with general anesthesia, which has a lot of side effects, one of which is not regaining consciousness. So, why not now, when there is a good chance of healing & fast recovery.There is so many medical websites for this controversial topic but I found this site very helpful.
